Community Regeneration

As part of our ongoing mission to create opportunities in the communities where we work, Mace provides tailor-made community regeneration programmes in support of our clients' wider project goals. As a company committed to sustainable construction, we help clients to make their projects socially inclusive, unlocking training and employment opportunities, and providing construction stakeholders with an opportunity to help overcome the well-documented skills gap in the industry.

We facilitate links among key groups, including contractors, suppliers, educational institutions and employment organisations to match supply to demand and create sustainable employment, social and economic opportunities. Our scope of service also includes identifying local funding sources and helping our clients to meet their Section 106 employment and training obligations. To date, our community regeneration programmes have had significant impact on communities around the UK and have helped more than 4,500 people with barriers to employment get back into work.

Results that improve lives

Since 2003 Mace's community regeneration and inclusion project has engaged and supported more than 4500 participants across a wide range of programmes:

• 4550 participants received an information advice and guidance session
• 4500 participants received an individual learning plan
• 2,625 participants engaged gained a construction related qualification
• 450 of all participants were women
• 1,950 participants were from black and minority ethnic groups
• 1500 participants entered full time employment through the scheme
