Macro, the facilities management arm of the Mace Group, has won a major commission to provide facilities management support services on the Old Town Island, Burj Dubai project.
The project is a three year fixed price contract for complete facilities management and service delivery role with client Emaar Properties.
The Old Town Island site is approximately 3,000,000 square foot and comprises 400 villas or apartments, 120 retail outlets and a hotel.
Specifically requested to support this project, Macro was required to mobilise a team at short notice and identify a suitable supply chain. In addition, an approach to manage snagging had to be established and Macro personnel had to be accepted on site on behalf of the client to witness commissioning.
Macro has a number of key deliverables including:
- Mobilising site management procedures and a suitable supply chain
- Snagging of site conditions and services
- Establishing transitional FM services during phased handover
- Developing a resource structure for the site in full operation
- Macro's service provision includes;
- Building services maintenance
- Fabric maintenance
- Cleaning and Pest Control
- Security and access control
- Car park management
