Phil Terzza, senior technical consultant at Macro International provides his quarterly letter from Dubai, discussing the current state of facilities management in the UAE.
He comments that in the three months since his last letter, the credit crunch has continued to bite deeper in Dubai. The grim financial situation has seen stark measures being taken across the UAE, with more attention given to cutting energy consumption and reducing carbon footprints of property portfolio's.
In an effort to drive down costs, many clients are retendering facilities management contracts in the hope it will introduce new practices at reduced costs.
