Macro

Information

SABMiller is one of the largest brewers in the world with distribution agreements across six continents. Six of their brands are in the top 50 in the world and they are one of the world's largest bottlers of Coca Cola. SABMiller House in Woking, Surrey is the European Headquarters.

Macro began its relationship with SABMiller in 2005 as the major refurbishment of their new premises was coming to a close. No in-house team existed and facilities management was part of the finance function.

Macro won the tender for the delivery of facilities management services under a principal contractor agreement in November 2005. A new team was recruited and were trained as the building neared completion and was ready for handover.

The supply chain was reviewed and new service contracts were let. Macro's independence allowed for a flexible approach to supplier choice and resulted in high quality services being delivered by the right service providers.

The service was restructured as it matured and Macro increased the scope of the contract which included directly employed receptionists.

Macro were able to assist with space utilisation studies and in 2007 SAB took the lease of Midas House, also in Woking. Macro expanded their services to the new premises, adopting the same one team ethos with a customer service ethic.

In February 2009, SAB Miller will occupy another building in Reading and Macro will be providing services at these premises under the existing contract.
